             Bahubali:the beginning

Queen Shivagami (Ramya Krishnan), the queen of Mahishmati, one of the ancient kingdoms of India, comes out of a den near a huge waterfall, adopting a baby.  She fearlessly kills her chasing soldiers and sacrifices herself to protect the infant.  At the last moment, the local villagers spot the infant in the watered queen's outstretched arm and rescue the child safely.

In this way, the queen merges by drowning in the waterfall falling from the height of the mountain.  Sanga (Rohini) and her husband name the child Shiva and raise them like their own children.  With the passage of time, Shiva (Prabhas) grows up into a strong young man who aspires to climb the mountain and tries unsuccessfully several times.  One day he finds a mask of a young woman floating in a waterfall.  In a quest to find the identity of the young woman, he attempts to climb the mountain again and eventually succeeds

At the top of the waterfall, Shiva discovers the owner of the mask, Avantika (Tamanna), a rebel warrior whose team is waging a guerrilla war against King Bhallal Deva/Pallavathevan (Rana Daggubati) of the Mahishmati kingdom.  The team aims to rescue the former queen Devasena (Anushka Shetty) who has been kept in chains in the palace for the past 25 years.  And this important responsibility has been entrusted to Avantika.  Avantika falls in love to hear Shiva say that he has come only for her, climbing all the difficulties of this waterfall.  Shiva now promises to take up the mission and secretly enters Mahishmati and frees Devasena from captivity.  Shiva rescues him and escapes with him, but soon the king's royal slave Kattappa (Satyaraj), known for his excellent fighting skills, follows him.  But the ambush Bhadra (Adivi Shesha), the son of Bhallal Dev, suddenly strikes Shiva on the head, but Katappa drops his weapon when he learns that Shiva is actually Mahendra Bahubali, son of the late King Amarendra Bahubali.  .

Then here the past events of King Amarendra Bahubali, which happened in the past, are mentioned.  Amarendra's mother dies after his birth, while his father has passed away long before that.  Sivagami, with the help of her bodyguard Katappa, takes over the reins of the empire until a new king is elected.  She gives equal upbringing to Amarendra Bahubali and Bhallal Dev, they are well versed in many disciplines and training like art, science, deceit, politics and war art, but both have different ambitions to rule the empire.  .  Where Amarendra treats Bahubali liberal towards people, Bhallal Dev is very harsh and takes every possible brutality to achieve his goal, even he gets Bahubali killed.

When Mahishmati is challenged to battle by the enemy Kalakeyas, Shivagami promises that whoever beheads the king of Kalakeyas will be made the new king and thus orders the division of war resources equally between the two granddaughters.  Is.  But Bhallal Dev's handicapped father, Bijjala Deva (Nassar), deceives Bhallal to provide Bhallal with as much war equipment as possible.  In the battle, when Mahishmati fails once and considers her to be the end, Amarendra re-motivates his soldiers to fight with him to the death and ends the war by crushing the enemies.  But Bhallal Dev already kills the king of Kalakeya, Shivagami declares Amarendra Bahubali as the new ruler on his decision of superiority and leadership in battle, then makes Bhallal Dev a general for his courage and might.  .

After these earlier events, when King Amarendra is questioned, an emotional Katappa tells of the king's death, and Katappa himself is responsible for his death.
