Rachana, a Times of India intern, is working on a report about the happenings at the flyover. She also has a liking for crime reporter Aditya, whom she enlists for research material on the flyover accidents. Every day, she observes some cars shifting the concrete blocks that divide the road in order to make a quick U-turn and avoid traffic. They don't move the blocks back and leave them lying about on the road, causing numerous accidents. A homeless man sitting on the flyover takes down the car numbers of commuters who break the U-turn rule and gives them to Rachana. Using her contacts in the criminal justice system, she obtains the names and addresses of the perpetrators.She acquires the names and addresses of the perpetrators through a source in the traffic department, with the goal of confronting them and publishing a piece for the paper about their "shortcut." Her attempt to meet the person at the top of the list is futile.

Rachana is arrested later that day and accused of killing the same person she wanted to meet. She is taken aback and shares her side of the storey. Despite the fact that the senior police official dismisses it, sub-inspector Pradeep Nayak considers it plausible and conducts more inquiry. All of the persons on Rachana's list have committed suicide, it is revealed. They also committed suicide on the same day they made the erroneous "U-turn," according to the police. The homeless man has written down another number, which will be sent to Rachana the next day, Rachana and Nayak discover.The team follows the location and tries to locate the man, a lawyer, who has made a U-turn on that particular day. Both leave because nothing appears to be strange, only to be met by the death of the lawyer, who jumps from his balcony and falls on the police car in which Nayak and Rachana were leaving.

Rachana later confronts the homeless man over the injuries sustained on the flyover. Meanwhile, she witnesses two young men breaking the U-turn and informs Nayak, who initially argues and does not believe they will perish. Later, he imprisons them in an old police station and monitors them with CCTV cameras in order to save them. However, one of them, who acts like a ghost, takes possession of him and struggles with the other, who eventually dies. The former takes Nayak's rifle and shoots himself. Aditya reads a news report about accidents on the flyover. Meanwhile, because the two individuals died in police custody, Senior Inspector Chandrashekhar suspends Nayak until the investigation is completed.Ritesh is interviewed by Rachana regarding the flyover accidents. Ritesh talks about his wife Maya and their daughter Jharna, who both died in a flyover tragedy. He tells her that she must figure out who killed Maya and his daughter.

Rachana does a U-turn and waits for something to happen because she has no way of determining the true cause of the criminals' deaths. She has nightmares about Maya and her daughter Jharna, who were killed in an accident as a result of the relocated concrete obstacles. Maya and Jharna are present in her home, claiming that Rachana is responsible for their deaths. Maya tries to kill Rachana with her magical abilities, but Rachana swears to track down the person who killed Maya. She wakes up and walks over to Nayak's house, where she discovers several photographs of those who died as a result of the U-turn. She looks for the person who moved the blocks on the floor with the help of Nayak.She tries to track down the individual who shifted the blocks on the day of Maya's accident with the help of Nayak. They discovered the man who relocated the block's phone number and address. Rachana writes this on a balloon and leaves it for Maya to find on the flyover. Rachana dials the number and discovers that it is Aditya's brother's phone number; however, Aditya's brother moved to the United States two years ago, and Aditya is still using the number and his bike. She tells Aditya, distraught, that a mother and daughter died as a result of his irresponsibility. Aditya claims he did not make the U-turn. He simply swapped bicycles with a pal.In a final surprise, the individual who shifted the block is revealed to be Ritesh. When Ritesh, whom Rachana has told about the incident, arrives, Maya's spirit is waiting in Aditya's house to kill him. They save Aditya, while Ritesh sees Maya and Jharna and informs them that they died as a result of his actions. He then attempts suicide by leaping off the balcony. Ritesh is rescued by Maya's spirit, who informs him that his sentence is to live in this realm without his wife and children.
